As Managing Partner, Jeremy King is an expert in officer-level executive search and leads the firm's East Coast High Technology and Federal IT practices. With nearly ten years experience conducting high-impact CXO and VP level searches, Jeremy has demonstrated an unparalleled ability to consistently deliver value across all technology sectors, all functional roles, and in all major U.S. markets. Whether serving emerging/mature technology clients or $1B government contractors, he has led engagements in software, IT services, infrastructure, e-business applications, knowledge management, homeland security, business intelligence, communications/networking, wireless, and next generation delivery models such as ASP's and open-source.

Being involved with hundreds of companies in every market cycle, Jeremy has seen their successes/failures and gained an extremely insightful vantage point into what makes companies succeed. Speaking with thousands of senior executives, he has developed access to a network of leading talent and can quickly assess behaviors of leaders.

Upon joining Austin McGregor in 2000, Jeremy was responsible for developing and managing relationships with leading venture capital and private equity firms and was quickly promoted to president of the firm's high technology practice. He was asked to establish their presence in Silicon Valley, where he successfully executed numerous CEO/VP searches for Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Sequoia Capital, Lightspeed Ventures, Sevin Rosen, Warburg Pincus, and GE Capital. In 2003, he became Managing Partner and relocated to his native Virginia to expand the firm’s East Coast practice and launch the Federal IT practice. He quickly earned the resounding endorsement of leading Government officials and recruited an elite Federal Advisory Board. He works with leading CEO's and venture capitalists, including: Valhalla Partners, Benchmark Capital, Inflection Point Ventures, Kodiak Ventures, Flagship Ventures, Core Capital, and Mid-Atlantic Ventures.

His experience in technology dates back to 1995 where he led sales and business development for Erol's Internet, helping the company grow from 5,000 to over 100,000 customers and become the 7th largest ISP in the country. Jeremy was then recruited to join DHR International, a top 10 retained executive search firm, as their youngest search consultant. He was on the leadership team of the company's early-stage high technology practice. Upon graduation from Florida State University with a BS degree in Political Science, Jeremy founded a consulting firm in Springfield, VA, which created and managed fundraising campaigns for several national charities. He grew the company to over 100 employees and raised millions of dollars for Kiwanis, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and American Legion.

He is currently on the board of the Hyperemesis Education & Research (HER) Foundation, a member of the Washington, DC, chapter of Business Executives for National Security (BENS), a member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO), and a member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council. Jeremy resides in Waterford, VA, with his wife and son.
