Scott's senior leadership position with Austin McGregor follows a career as a Naval Officer/Aviator. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Scott served for seven years as a flight instructor and carrier-based F/A-18 Hornet pilot where he was ranked in the top 1 percent of his peers. Scott lead a team of 50 as the Division Officer for his Squadron aboard the aircraft carrier USS America and held positions of Air-Ground Weapons Training Officer, Nuclear Weapons Delivery Training Officer, and Communications Security Officer. Scott was granted Top Secret Clearance, was offered the prestigious Top Gun School assignment, and is published in the secret Strike Warfare Journal for Tactical Weapons Delivery research conducted for the F/A-18 community.
In 2002 Scott joined Austin McGregor and opened the Atlanta office to strengthen the firm's presence in the Southeast market. From Atlanta Scott has worked with clients across the country to recruit the best talent the national market will produce for each specific opportunity. His clients have included publicly traded industry leaders and early stage, pre-product companies in Atlanta, Raleigh Durham, Chicago, Orlando, Denver, Boston, NYC, Washington DC metro area, and Richmond.
